Welcome home is the greeting I receive every time I visit The Capital Hotel group, and I adore the staff, it’s always comforting knowing my room is ready on time and the service is on point, thank you to Karabo for making our stay extra special.

Capital Melrose Hotel opened its doors on the 1st of May 2019, located in the central Melrose Arch area, in Johannesburg.

Spacious apartments are available for staycations or long term stays, kitted with all the requirements for a comfortable stay, tv in the lounge area as well as the bedroom, kitchen appliances for the days you keen to stay in and cook a hearty meal. Each apartment is fitted with air conditioning, modern look and feel that’s aesthetically appealing.

If you keen on an in-house dinning experience you can venture downstairs to the restaurant and enjoy a delicious dinner, priced affordably, along with a contemporary modern look and feel, ensuring comfort and relaxation, vegetarian options butternut and carrot soup, a winner, as well as meat options available, if you feel for something more filling the mushroom and leek pie is a Capital favorite amongst its guests, it’s one of my main meal options for the perfect comfort food.

Breakfasts range from cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, freshly squeezed juices, coffee, hot chocolate, cheese and crackers, for the sweet tooth pastries, a hot breakfast consisting of eggs Benedict, French toast or build your omelette.

I don’t know about you, I enjoy my eggs well done, technically I like them dead! It took a second attempt, the kitchen got it right, I opted for the poached eggs, served with hash brown, spinach, topped with mozzarella cheese and micro herbs, the basil pesto complimented the dish well.

A good cuppa is essential.

Relaxing at the pool area is a great space to watch the sunrise if you up early enough or to watch the sunset.

My highlight are the artworks around the hotel that add to the creative space, leaving you feeling inspired, for the fitness lovers the in house gym is situated on the first floor, perfect for a quick workout.

For the sweet tooth, a favorite at the Capital Melrose, the cheesecake is well balanced not to sweet, served with a berry coulee, dusted with sherbet, perfect to end the meal and share a dessert if you are counting those calories.

The Capital Melrose hotel offer affordable rates, those staycations don’t have to break the bank, a home away from home.

Booking online qualifies you 12% off.
