With Sustainable Travel becoming more Popular, Rosemary Hill has everything covered, from Recycling, Upcycling, Growing Veggies, herbs, reducing food waste by composting, supporting local farmers, this is a community like no other! Looking for a Relaxing Getaway from the City? Rosemary Hill has to make it to your Supporting local travel list, located an hours drive from Johannesburg, closer if you reside in the Pretoria area, after scrolling through so many images of this Establishment prior to my stay, let me say that the images don’t do justice to being there in person and experiencing Rosemary Hill Farms Natural beauty.

Rosemary Hill Coffee is a winner, served with a mini chocolate brownie.

You all know I tend to Rate an Establishment by the Coffee, Bathrooms, Cleanliness, Hospitality and this is a winner, all protocols in place, it’s ticks all the right boxes, the food is Catered to accommodate Meat Lovers, Vegetarians and Vegans, the food is flavorful and a must try is the Picnic with homemade Bread, dips, preserves, fresh fruit, healthy salads refreshing ice tea and Dessert. Hubby has a great reel on his Instagram page check it out: @foodiewhippedsa

I also have some great images on my Instagram and Facebook feed, the Highlight reel you can checkout labeled Rosemary Hill.

Upstairs view of the Modern décor in the Big Pod.

Cabinville the name of the section given to the Pods, The Big Pod is Gorgeous, Sustainably built in just 35 days from start to finish, the Pod sleeps 6 people, 1 double bed downstairs, 1 bathroom downstairs with a spacious shower, the kitchen is fitted with a Gas stove, Nespresso Machine, fridge and microwave, Bonus a Braai area outside, beautiful views on the deck, perfect for Sundowners or to Meditate in stillness, we spent hours on the generous patio area soaking up the Natural scenery.

A Loft upstairs with a Double bed and 2 single beds, a great working space fitted with an air conditioner, windows allowing natural light in. Wi-fi is freely available to answer those emails, keep an eye on those notifications, this is a great way to work in the Woods,

If you really have to work its a great space to do it out here, Hubby had a meeting on Friday afternoon, this gave me some time to explore the Farm and walk around in search of the Herb garden, and take my camera along to explore the offerings, I love that there’s no Tv in this space as this promotes deeper sense of relaxation.

The interior stairs, beds are made from reclaimed wood, this Big Pod is an artists masterpiece! You have to stay there to see for yourself.

Natural beauty Captured on the Farm near the Greenhouse Café.
Natural Essential Organic Products produced on the Farm.

We purchased some of the Organic products on the farm, an Essential oil distillery on site produces natural products, the Coffee shop on the farm sells a range of the products, shower gels, essential oils, hand wash, room sprays to name a few, I loved that it worked well on my sensitive skin, bonus this supports local every time to purchase you are giving back to the community on the farm.

Segway Tour in Progress, Yolande captured this image thank you!

Activities on the Farm: We opted for the Segway it’s an activity hubby and I always wanted to try, don’t be fooled it takes some getting used to, it works with your body weight and learning to navigate the turns using your body to move, Yolande our Segway instructor was so patient with us, lightened the mood with jokes along the way, took us on a tour around the farm, the tour takes around 90 minutes, with the cost of just R450 per adult totally worth it!

Other activities include Acrobranching for adults, kids as well as horse riding at the Stables, Hiking trails on the farm and Cycling are popular, a great way to explore the Farm. If you a foodie you will love the Greenhouse café, we opted for take away burgers and pizza after our Segway so delicious! we tried the Vegan pizza and wow pretty amazed how flavorful it was you don’t miss the cheese.

Breakfast vouchers are placed in your Cabin on your bed, along with a mouthwatering chocolate brownie.
