Just and hour and a half drive from Centurion to the Vaal, so much luxury awaits you as you get to BON Hotel Riviera on Vaal, with the friendly staff, who where very accommodating even allowing me an early check in which was a real treat to get more time there.

It was easy to switch off and enjoy the magical view from my private balcony.

The rooms are spacious, with a lovely lounge and balcony, it’s hard not to be mesmerized by the view, whether it’s from your window or the boat rides you can enjoy on the river.

This hotel has a wealth of history dating back to the 1930ties when the hotel was constructed, the beautiful framed articles on the wall lend to that history. One of my decor highlights was the chandelier in the foyer, this made for a breathtaking photo I couldn’t resist to take.
The Matthew’s restaurant was a tasty dining experience, the chef went out of her way to meet my dietary requirements, the atmosphere was lovely with a jam packed resturant, and heaters lent to the warmth as laughter filled the room, there where great food options too, a buffet or you could order off the menu which changes daily.

I could not resist the dessert vanilla cake is an absolute must have and is paired with tea or coffee.

There’s something for everyone at BON Hotel Riviera on Vaal swimming or watching the sunset at the pool area, a gym to keep fit, business centre for those who need to respond to emails, a play area with a jumping castle, for children.

If you an adrenaline junkie and love watersports you in for a real treat.

For those who can’t live without wi fi don’t worry the hotel provides a generous 200mb per day.

Incredible views, a weekend to remember! Thank you BON Hotel Riviera on Vaal for hosting us.
